Over 250,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced from the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza as part of Israel’s “Gideon’s Chariots” operation, according to Hebrew news site Walla. They are being moved to “humanitarian zones” despite numerous reports of deadly strikes in these very areas. This mass displacement further exacerbates the risk of famine in northern Gaza, where aid agencies report Israel continues to ban the entry of crucial humanitarian assistance. The UN reiterates that Gaza is the “hungriest place on Earth,” with all 2.3 million people facing “catastrophic hunger.”
