Politics and Policy

The Politics & Policy section features rigorous analysis and commentary on domestic and international political developments, legislative affairs, public administration, and the evolving landscape of governance and policy-making. We welcome submissions that critically engage with contemporary political issues, political theory, institutional dynamics, elections, civil liberties, lawmaking, and the interplay between policy and society.

Business

The Business section explores the forces shaping global and local economies, covering markets, finance, entrepreneurship, industry trends, labour, corporate affairs, and economic policy. 

Arts & Letters

The Arts & Letters section is devoted to the life of the mind and the creative spirit. It features essays, criticism, and commentary on literature, philosophy, visual arts, film, theatre, music, and cultural history. 

Science &Technology

The Science & Technology section features insightful reporting and thoughtful commentary on scientific discoveries, technological innovation, research trends, and their broader implications for society. 

Military & Defence

The Military & Defence section offers in-depth analysis, strategic commentary, and historical insight into the world of armed forces, security policy, conflict, and geopolitics. We welcome submissions on military history, defence strategy, arms technology, intelligence, international security dynamics, and civil-military relations.

What we publish

We welcome diverse forms of writing that reflect intellectual rigour, clarity of thought, and relevance to public discourse. While we generally expect submissions to adhere to the specified word counts, we may allow flexibility where the quality and substance of the work warrant it. The following categories are open for submission:

News Reports

We publish timely, well-researched, and fact-checked news articles that provide fresh perspectives on current affairs—be it in politics, law, society, culture, or technology. We value accuracy, context, and analysis over sensationalism.

Word Count: 200–600 words

Opinion Pieces

We seek persuasive and thought-provoking opinion articles that address contemporary debates, policies, or social trends. Submissions should be concise, clearly argued, and grounded in sound reasoning or empirical evidence.

Word Count: 800–1200 words

Essays

Our essay section features in-depth analytical or reflective essays that explore complex themes with intellectual depth. Submissions may span philosophy, politics, law, history, literature, and culture. Originality and analytical rigour are essential.

Word Count: 1500–5000 words

Book Reviews

We accept critical reviews of both contemporary and classic works. Reviews should offer more than a summary, providing meaningful engagement with the book’s arguments, significance, and intellectual contribution.

Word Count: 800–1200 words

Interviews & Dialogues

We welcome interviews or structured conversations with scholars, authors, artists, activists, or public intellectuals. These pieces should present meaningful discussions in an engaging and accessible format.

Word Count: Flexible

Creative Workings

We encourage creative submissions, including poetry, short fiction, reflective prose, or experimental writing that aligns with the magazine’s ethos. We are particularly drawn to works that address social, political, or philosophical themes through imaginative expression.

Encyclopedia Entries

We invite well-researched, accessible entries on key concepts, historical events, figures, movements, or doctrines. These should be clear, accurate, and intended for a general audience, with appropriate citations and scholarly integrity.

Referencing

All references must be hyperlinked appropriately where possible. Endnotes may be used instead of hyperlinks for essays and encyclopedia entries, but should be applied sparingly and consistently.

Format

All submissions must be double-spaced and submitted as a Microsoft Word document (.docx). Each submission should include:

  • A clear and concise title
  • A brief author biography (approximately 100 words)
  • No curriculum vitae (CV) is required

Please ensure your document is professionally formatted and free of typographical errors. Submissions not meeting these basic requirements may not be considered for review.
