  1. Originality and Exclusivity
    1. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
    2. By submitting, the contributor grants The Maple Review exclusive, perpetual, and royalty-free rights to publish, reproduce, modify, and distribute the work in all formats and media, including but not limited to online, print, audio, and syndication.
    3. 3. We may feature contributor content in special issues, newsletters, collections, or promotional materials.
  5. Compensation
    1. All contributions are voluntary and unpaid, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
    2. Contributors waive any future claim to compensation, royalties, or licensing fees for published work.
  6. Corrections and Retractions
    1. If an error is identified post-publication, we reserve the right to issue a correction, clarification, or retraction.
    2. Contributors are encouraged to notify us promptly of any issues identified in their own work.
